Table tennis is about to become the fourth sport in which I have competed in tournaments. Not bad for a former couch potato.

In other news, I'm taking a class that's jointly offered with the philosophy department. In my first class I learn that dualism is seeing a resurgence. Rather sad, I think. After the class I had a chat with someone who happened to be a former student of Daniel Dennett.

What else.. I'm decorating my apartment, buying a home theater, and planning to learn Tae kwon do. Living the life of Riley.

Oh, and I've switched to eating exclusively microwaveable food because I can't be bothered to do any cooking at all. It also means way less cleaning. This rocks.

I learn that dualism is seeing a resurgence. Among philosophers? Or even cognitive science people?

As of now only philosophers, fortunately :) But note that there are philosophers who are cognitive scientists.

edit to prev. comment:

purely microwaveable + vegetarian + healthy? No baking even? I'd want to know more...

Not vegetarian. Definitely healthy. Very healthy. No baking. My main constraint is getting enough calories. I need more than 3000 a day, or I can't gain any mass. It doesn't taste good at all. Can't have everything :(

Ah damn, and I thought for a happy moment that there was a solution after all. Ohh well.

Re: non-veg

Now I will feel terribly insecure if I don't confirm this - I wasn't the anonymous who asked "How can you eat non-veg"? *Relieved*.

Chess, tennis, racquetball. These days I also play volleyball and basketball, although I will probably never compete in a tournament.

Whoa!

I really am dumbfounded...some people might be real surprised that "I" am at a loss for words...but there you have it :P
This really does remind one of Opal Mehta (of "How Opal Mehta got kissed, got wild and got a life" fame)...;D

Re: Whoa!

Sorry... I've been terribly sloppy about reading friends' pages this summer. I promise I'll improve :)
