I have decided that going to bed early is a sign of humility. I say this because of the curious way in which the brain processes temporal states. What I mean is, the notion of yourself at some other point of time as opposed to the current moment in time is somewhat similar to the notion of a different person in the subconscious part of your mind. So when you stay up late, you are stealing time from this 'other person' and giving it to yourself for your own enjoyment.
Any thoughts on this theory? :)
P.S - Of course, I wouldn't be coming up with fancy arguments like this if it were not for the fact that I'm currently going to bed early. More than a whole week of regular 10-6 sleep hours... a personal best in more than 7 years! And months or years since I had any kind of routine at all...
