Oh. My. God.

Did anyone watch it live? What were your feelings when you were watching it?

Yes, I saw it live.
"Unbelievable" is the closest word to describe the feeling.

Also a bit of "pity" for poor Mick Lewis. This should in all likeliness be the end of his cricketing career :)
As soon as his spell got over in the 47th over, I wanted to update wikipedia with his world record of ODI century by a bowler, but someone already beat me to it. LOL.

I have seen a few amazing innings myself, but I would trade all of them to have watched this game live. I guess this is a sort of revenge for South Africa for the 1999 World Cup semifinal cliffhanger, although its a pity it wasn't on a greater stage. I can't wait to buy the DVD.

I hadn't realized no bowler had ever made a century in ODIs. That's amusing.

martin Snedden of NZ had "scored" a century in the 1983 world cup, but those were the days when matches were 60 overs a side and so a bowler could bowl 12 overs. he had some 12-0-105-0 or something (not sure; check cricinfo)

and i still can't understand why ponting gave 10 overs to lewis when lee hardly bowled 8!!

It was the best chase PERIOD. And with this will begin the Aussie decline. No McGrath and no warne and all of a sudden the bowling looks pedestrian. Gibbs got his revenge. Remember his famous drop catch of Waugh :) He rode his luck and now people will think a little more before calling them chokers. Boucher played the innings of his life. A great match all the way

I didn't quite manage to watch the match (the reason being- the channel wasn't available where I was staying during the weekend!:( Unfortunate. Very.
Me and dad were like - would've gone to the ends of the earth, nah, the Universe, for such a match.
After Australia's ballet at the crease, thought it would be a no go for SA- but what a chase it must've been...
Eventually caught the details after the night's "flash" news!

The essence of the blogging world is millions of chattering monkeys all saying the same thing. My post doesn't in any way disqualify you from making one on the topic :) Besides, this is a once-in-several-lifetimes event, so I'm sure everybody's going to be talking about it.

And, in another fit of generosity forgive myself for being a lazy bum and procrastinating...:)
