|More fun in the springtime

and I went kayaking. It was surprisingly easy. The kayak was so light a single person could carry it. It turned out we averaged about 11 km an hour, not bad for a couple of rookies. I really need to try a rowboat some time though -- they seem to go a lot faster. I guess its because the entire rowing effort is converted to forward momentum of the craft, whereas a kayak's paddle is not so efficient.
