!!!!
Hope everything's ok! I first read that as 'I made the headlines in 3 papers' :D
Yeah, I wish I could make headlines by writing papers :)
OMG that happened to ME once. But I was asleep and the intruder broke in. I woke up and he was standing over me like Dracula. !!! Are u ok?
yeah, I'm ok :) Guy wasn't dangerous, just crazy. I guess yours was scarier than mine. Mine was sorta slowly walking toward my bed when I woke up. (Deleted comment)
Indeed! arvindn, pray tell me, how is it that all these weird things happen only to you</em?!
By wearing a bandana, I attract trouble :)
eerrrr... see, you just woke up a few seconds earlier than I did! What do these people think they're doing? How crazy to invade someone's bedroom.
You're a guy and you might assimilate this experience better than I did.. I was nuts for a long time, I used to put nails on window sashes so you couldn't slide any of my windows open far enough for someone to climb in... and I found myself waking in a panic... in fact for a long time I could not fall asleep until daybreak, as if with daylight i could slumber in safety.
I am ok now, and I hope you don't go through what i did.
That sounds like a really painful experience.
I did sleep with a nightlight on for the rest of the night, but I don't think it's going to bother me much. Actually it's more amusing than anything else in retrospect.
What happened when you woke up? How did you manage to call the police? I'm guessing he wasn't attempting to harm you..?
Long story.. I'll tell you in person some time?
< old gossipy hag begin > We wants to know the story too .. </ gossipy hag end >
I'm going to be in the bay area with a high probability some time in the middle of March. Wanna hang out? I'll save the story for then :)
don't seem to have your number though.. can you email it please?
Here's something wierd-er, but um, significantly safer too - dad while snoozing on a hammock, tied to branches overlooking the terrace, accidentally slipped off it, waking the entire household in the midddle of the night. We had about 7 tenants back then, to top things and one of them even called the cops! Or the number of times someone accidentally walked into the loo in the middle of the night, without turning off the burglar alarm and end up with cops on the doorstep!- this wasn't in India,no. Or when an Indian lady living just behind our home was murdered... Or... PS - Sorry for the rant :)
In a hammock! I thought only infants slept in hammocks.
Think again :) Don't tell me you've been in the "sunny" side of the US for quite a few years now and haven't slept in a hammock(which is significantly, um different from a CRADLE:) yet!
