Black Friday in the U.S. I'd gotten suckered earlier into buying a lousy cell phone plan with Sprint ($40/mo with lots of hidden charges for 500 mins + nights + weekends with a TWO YEAR contract), so I was determined to make good on the thanksgiving sales. Today is |
The two big things on my shopping list were a digicam and a laptop, and I believe I've got reasonably good deals on both of them. An entry level (Kodak cs7300) camera plus NiMH batteries plus recharger plus a 256MB memory card for $130 incl tax and shipping; and a Dell Inspiron 600m (1.5Ghz/400FSB Celeron, 32MB videoram, 14" monitor, 512MB memory, 30GB disk, 24x combo drive, builtin 56k, 10/100lan, 802.11b 11mbps wlan, printer, 1yr warranty weighing less than 5 pounds) for $929 incl shipping and taxes :)
It takes a lot of research to find the best deals though. I spent about 15 hrs (not kidding!). Some of my friends went overnight shopping (stores open at 12 pm and first 100/200 customers get insane rebates etc) and had an amazing time. I'll be going next year.
